Art and Technology Integration at Mercy High School
This video I have found talks about a certain school in Michigan that has intergraded technology in their art program. They have required that each student have a laptop as well as a program that will assist in helping the students bring technology to the school. Teachers record their lessons and put it up on their class website so if someone is confused about the homework they can look at the lesson or if someone was absent. They also have students submit projects through this program and give them paperless feedback that is all found through this program. The last aspect that I found most interesting is that students are taught how to make an online portfolio which is very helpful for the students as well as the teachers.

This sounds like a great program to have in schools for their art classes, but it seems like it would have to be in a school system with a very comfortable budget. I think that it would be very beneficial to the students and the teachers and the fact that everything would be paperless really catches my eye. As a former high school art student, having an online portfolio would've been extremely helpful for me and I wish there had been something like that when I was in school. This program sounds wonderful for the entire art program at a school.
