Recourses Available

While at the information session on Monday for the final project it was brought to my attention that there are workshops on campus about different types of technology that are out there. We also talked about how you could stand out in an interview if you show that you know how to use different types of technology in the classroom. I have only seen a smartboard once however I have never used it. Now that I have realized that if I were to get a job in a school that enforces the use of smartboards I would be very lost. I am now going to keep an eye out for different workshops that I could attend to keep me informed about the different technologies that are in the education world.

  1. I never knew that there were workshops like this offered either and I also feel like I do not know enough about technology to go into a school right now and use a lot of it. Smartboards are also something that I have never gotten to use myself, so a workshop like this would definitely be helpful for me. I would also like to keep an eye out for workshops like this to keep me updated for my future teaching.

  3. I agree that it's important to be as knowledgeable as possible about technology when applying for a teaching job or on an interview, especially in this economy.

In addition to being as knowledgeable as possible about technology, learning to speak Spanish is another goal of mine. Being able to speak Spanish or Chinese in addition to English are, from what I know, extremely helpful in getting hired as a teacher.

In this economy, all of these once extra things, such as having a great understanding of technology, are now essential.
